(3) Time traveling prompts to fall in love with your business (again).
Do you fantasize about breaking up with your business? Not having fun anymore? Too many dishes, not enough sexy time? Exhausted and ( frankly) a little bored?
What if you could fall in love (again)? Try these prompts - see what happens.
Prompt #1: Why did you start your business? How did it feel?
This is the Esther Perel question.
Reflect: Remember the beginning. Why did you start? How did it feel?
What were you passionate about? What was scary? What was thrilling?
Your next step: Circle the important words and remember the feelings e.g., “excited & terrified!” “ Unsure but certain.”
As Esther demonstrates, remembering can unlock a path forward that’s been there all along.
Prompt #2: Today, in your business, what activities are invigorating, and which ones are draining?
Reflect: Grab a piece of paper and draw a line down the center/middle. On one part, list the activities from your personal and work life that bring you energy. That light you up. You spring out of bed in the morning, knowing you get to do more of ___.
Make another list of the opposite, things that drain you. It’s not that you hate doing it necessarily, but it's stale, with a pinch of dread.
Your next step: Look at both lists. Commit to eliminating an item from your “draining list.” How? Outsource. Just stop doing it (no, really, just stop). Ask for help. Automate. Think creatively.
Turn your attention to the energy-giving/fabulous list. Go all in on an item that thrills you and gives you energy. Do more of what you love - what fills you - what you are put on this planet to do.
Prompt #3: Play, “Wouldn’t it be cool if…” time travel to an ideal future.
Reflect: Complete the sentence, “Wouldn’t it be cool if…” List as many things that you can think of that add up to a “cool/fabulous” life.
Your dream team, the money you want to make, your ideal customers, your relationships, family, vacation spots?
“It would be cool if…”
Let it rip - your imagination runs wild. Generate at least 25 answers - hit 50, and you get a gold star.
Your next step: Review your “Wouldn’t it be cool” list. These jewels are what you want in your life and your business. Pick one item. Go for it.
Put it all together, “1.. 2.. 3..” to fall in love with your business (again.)
You felt that spark at 1. You feel it today at 2. You're picturing it with 3.
Fall in love again, in a new way.
You can do these prompts in your way in your own time.
Solo.
With a coach.
With your colleagues.
With your dog:) lol
Get out of your way - you can always think of “The Million Reasons Why You Can’t”
Find one reason why you can.
You are on your way to falling in love (again).

Personal
I’m pushing “send” on this missive from Mendoza, Argentina.
Out my window, vineyards and arid mountains. Imagine Napa, but it's the Andes. Malbec wine. Horses. Hot springs. Steaks a la parrilla. I’m here with friends. Some work and frolicking. This best life I’m living includes an extended, international, warm-weather getaway.
Professional
I’m participating in a business innovation summit for business owners led by Lynne Roe (of video fame below). Come check it out.
Talk about re-kindling the spark! a video short (2:07)
A business coach for the last 14 years, Lynne’s relationship with her business was, well,
“fine.”
It lacked snap and excitement.
She needed a change, created a new product, and WOW! BAM! She’s back with that new love feeling - and taking steps to fan the flame.
Lynne and I will be having a conversation on 2/27 at 12:30 pm EST. Join us

How’s your spark? I’ve got coaching spots available starting March 1st. Reach out for a conversation if you might be ready to do the 1,2,3.
So, Buttercup, tell me, "What’s up? " Drop me a note, or let's spend time together. I’d love to hear from you.
Love,
Katrina
